Official WRU Deaf Covid19 Statement

As we go into a period of uncertainty, Wales Deaf Rugby Union will take direction from the WRU on fixtures and training sessions according to Welsh Government guidelines and Covid-19. We will follow all restrictions and deadlines as outlined, and will only return to play when it is deemed safe to do so.

We appreciate the difficulty facing our players and continue to offer support of our management team and the committee – players can contact staff via the usual team communication channels.

For the time being, the committee will continue to plan for coming seasons as much as possible and return to play will be communicated as soon as direction is received. We’d encourage players to keep in communication with their clubs at this time. Support with home fitness training is available for players to access if they wish to.

While this year we can’t offer our usual community programme, be assured our teams will be working closely with WRU Community to get them back up and running across Wales as soon as it is safe to do so.

The committee would like to thank players and their families for their continued support during the coming months and will provide further updates when appropriate.
